This course provides an overview of the financial risks that mortgage lenders face. It then considers in some detail key risks such as Liquidity, Credit and Interest Rate within the context of revised treasury regulations and market developments. The key objective is to help the construction of a framework to measure, manage and monitor financial risks.

In the final sessions there is an examination of the role of the ALM Committee and its operation in practice.  This will include discussion of the type of reports ALM Committees should be receiving and examples of good and bad practice.

The course is aimed at those with little or no treasury expertise and is therefore likely to be of interest to non executive directors and senior management as well as those who have recently started work in treasury or related areas.  The course includes interactive exercises and therefore timings will be flexible to meet particular interests of participants.  No previous knowledge or experience is assumed.
